Shichimi Fried Rice

Traveling through food is always a great idea! And with the wonderful shichimi, it's never been easier to travel to Asia without leaving your home.

This fried rice is super versatile. You can use whatever vegetables you have at home and your protein of choice.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • Vegetables of choice (I used broccoli, red onion, mushrooms, and carrot)
  • Protein of choice (I used chickpeas)
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • A pinch of shichimi
  • Chives to taste

Sauce

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp agave
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 50ml water

Preparation Method

  1. In a pan over high heat, add the vegetables and let them cook for a few minutes.
  2. Add the chickpeas and rice. Cook for a few more minutes.
  3. Add the sauce and mix well.
  4. Add a pinch of shichimi and stir.
  5. Finish with chives and a bit more shichimi. Enjoy!
